So yesterday more of the features of the Xbox One were talked about at San Diego Comic Con. Project Upload was shown which will automatically records and stores the last 5 minutes of gameplay. If you say “Xbox record”, your Xbox One will record and store the last 30 seconds of footage. Like if you’re playing a game and you do or see something really cool, you just say “Xbox record” and it’ll be saved for you to upload to Youtube or some other site.
So now our controller recognizes who we are. Like if I play with inverted controls and my friend doesn’t, the Xbox One will actually automatically change the settings when the controller changes hands. Sounds pretty cool so far. But there’s more!
The Smartglass app will show you where your friends are in their own games. You can then invite them to play a game and get notified when they’re ready to play the game you invited them to play.
The new Kinect also has had some changes. It can now recognize the features of people so much better than before. It can do this so well that in certain games you can now make the characters look like you. Like in certain games when you have your avatar play, instead of the weird looking thing that plays, it’d be a more realistic looking model of yourself in those games.
All of this sounds pretty awesome! I really can’t wait for the new generation of consoles and games to come out, it’s going to be so amazing! You can read the full story here: http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/07/20/the-future-of-xbox
